Who would you give a mascot to?

It’s almost the big holidays and that means it’s the perfect time for me to arrange my very first giveaway! But it’s not like other giveaway contests because this is not for you, but for a person you would like to give it to. So if you have a friend or a family member that you believe deserve and would appreciate their very own Handy Mascot, write it down in a comment on our YouTube page underneath the video! On December 7 I will check all the comments and the one that has gotten most thumbs up will be the winner! I will of course post a video with the result the following week.

Keep in mind that this Handy Mascot kit is not safe for children under the age of 12 years old so only plan to give it to people you know that are at least 12 years old!

If you win this kit, I will send it to you, so that you in turn can lovingly give it away to that deserving family member or friend as a Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa gift! There is nothing to lose, so why not take a chance? Write down who you would like to give this to and why in the comment section on our YouTube page. And don’t forget to share this video with as many as possible and subscribe to our YouTube channel to find out who gets the prize!

Happy holidays!

You can see a lot more videos about this mascot on our Barri section.

If you wish, you can also buy this kit. There are a few kits available on our eBay page: http://www.ebay.com/itm/HANDY-MASCOT-KIT-/321543214152?

Barrii saves the day!

One day when I was running around town doing business, I suddenly felt a sudden urge to visit a bathroom. Now you know how it goes, you don’t want to wear your jacket or coat while sitting down on the toilet, but sometimes the bathroom doesn’t have hooks on the walls, or the hooks are placed so low, that the jacket would still touch the filthy floor, like this:

Hooks to low

So what to do? I suddenly become extremely happy over the fact that I have invented the handy mascot “Barrii” that functions as portable hooks! The hands can grip almost any edge, and that’s how I was able to keep my jacket of the filthy floor like this:

Barrii coat hanger

My dear Barrii helped me out and kept my jacket clean while I was busy doing my..err..business 🙂 All the time I was thinking “I have really made an awesome invention here!”. Now I hear you asking “How does this help me?” and my answer is: You can actually make this handy mascot for your self! I have chosen to give away this invention for free so you can make your own handy mascot and design it according to your own taste! Just read this post to find out how to make one for yourself:

How to make your own handy mascot!

Crafters University has changed!

cropped-8.jpgTime changes, and so do we. Our community area is now history and it was a necessary sacrifice to let us focus on what we do best: Finding and collecting the very best DIY videos on the net! And that’s not all, we have also started a new forum for all of you who seeks help with your project. It is brand new, so take the opportunity to be the very first to make your footprint in it!

We have also created a new unique mascot! No, it is not just another simple toy, it is actually an invention in itself. Her name is Barrii, and she is very handy! Her hands hook to almost any string or horizontal edge, and the feet turns into hooks that you can use for your coat, tools or whatever! Did we mention that she also have a magnet that sticks to refrigerators and metal pegboards? And she is a wobble head too! We have even released the 3D model and specification on the hardware for free so you can make one for your own and design it in whatever way you want. So what are you waiting for, go on and get your very own personalized handy mascot!

In the future, we will not only collect the best DIY videos on the web, but also make some of our own. Very soon, we will publish a video about a completely new “Smart material”, a soft 3D printer filament that actually conducts electricity! Subscribe to our YouTube channel so you don’t miss it!

That’s the news for today, and as always, stay handy!
